Guacamole is the perfect party food. It’s fast, easy and tasty. Just make yourself some quick guacamole, buy a bag of chips and go to your event. In this recipe I don’t add any jalapeño but just a pinch of cayenne to taste so you can control the heat. A lot of people can’t handle spicy food so you can always leave it out completely.

TIME: 10-15 minutes


3 medium sized avocados

1 tablespoon lime juice

1/4 cup finely diced tomatos

1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro

1 tablespoon finely chopped onion

1/2 teaspoon salt

Pinch of cayenne to taste

Yields: about 2 cups


Cut your avocados in half and scoop out the seeds. You can keep one of the seeds to put back in your guacamole when it’s finished to keep it from discoloring.

Scoop out the flesh from the avocados with a spoon and place in a mixing bowl. Mash the avocados well with either a fork or a potato masher.

Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
